Just Andrew - "Soapy the Germ Fighter" Short
Just Andrew - "Soapy the Germ Fighter" Short

Soapy: Shakespearean character in puffy sleeves or rough-neck cowboy? In either case, Soapy keeps the creepily informative apparition tradition alive by appearing in Billy's bedroom, charged with the task of convincing Billy that there's nothing more manly than grizzled farmhands washing up in pink bathrooms before heading to the brothel. The talking Fels-Naptha preaches constant vigilance against germs being allowed entrance into any orifice and against any germ-riddled entity that might put them there. Watch with "Just Andrew", partner, as Billy and Soapy's midnight musings lead to a cleanliness revolution!

Contains both the video and audio tracks, skillfully merged for your convenience!

Using the sink in the dungeon...

Very good send-up of a 1950's (or early 1960's?) short on washing up. The video has enough quite spots in it that Andrew could fill up with good riffs, without ruining what the narrator was saying. Well-done audio. Nice clear video, although I wish the image size would have been larger. I'd say this is a "five", as far as shorts go.

RPMs and Resolution.

GaranceDrosehn-
Thanks for the great feedback! This short has an RPM of 9.2, not bad for a one-man-show if I do say so myself, but I am getting better with the hole-filling.
I toyed around with several resolutions and finally settled on 320x240 because it's a good compromise between video quality and file size.

Andrew (yay!)

oh, soapy!

another great riff by andrew...oh, and hey, thanks for dashing my dreams by pointing out Soapy's marital status. hmmm, i wonder what he's married to? *disolve into absurd soap-related visions (as usual).you know, that Palmolive bottle is pretty shapely - or do bar soaps and liquids mingle? how about the powdered soaps? are there 'soapists' or is discrimination unknown in the anthropomorphic soap realm? so many questions left unanswered...*

"There's nothing sissy about buying this iRiff Billy!"

Probably my favorite one you've done so far. 5/5! Watch out for those "disease germs"!
