The Santa Claus Suit
Stripes and Spots: they’re cops. No, sorry, scratch that, bit of a habit! Stripes and Spots are clowns.
Even worse, they’re puppet clowns. Even worse, they’re a type of puppet clown that can only be described as a bowling pin wrapped in burlap. Who better to bring some festive seasonal despair to Christmas with The Santa Claus Suit!
Our tale begins when Stripes tells Spots he’s invited Santa Claus for a visit. This fills Spots with anxiety because he knows Santa won’t come, and the disappointment will make Stripes even more depressed than usual. These puppet clowns live a deeply miserable existence, kids!
Spots comes up with a plan: to manifest a clone of himself, which is apparently something puppet clowns can do, and give that clone a Santa suit to fool Stripes into believing Santa is real. What follows is an examination of the nature of faith, culminating in a discussion between Stripes the puppet clown and a floating empty Santa suit in which the Santa suit likens itself to electricity and God Himself. Uh, cue Jingle Bells?
