How to describe a movie that isn’t necessarily “a movie”? Whatever it is, it’s packed with a lot of STUFF. Here’s some of the stuff you’ll get in Guns of El Chupacabra:
- Robert Z’Dar as Z-man Lord Invader, hanging out at the dump, yelling at a guy in a dog mask.
- Joe Estevez as Rocket Ranger Dan Danger, ranting directly into a camera he may or may not have known was there.
- Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as some kind of space emperor.
- Julie Strain, Cinemax legend, as his space warrior queen, or something.
- A Space Sheriff named Jack B. Quick.
One thing you won’t see in Guns of El Chupacabra? A chupacabra using guns.
The story, as best discerned by a team of scientists after years of analysis, is that Robert Z’Dar’s space monsters have gotten loose on Earth, where they’re being called Chupacabras. The Space Sheriff and a whole host of bizarre characters, from Dog Boy to Stranger X to the Santiago Kid, spend most of the movie at a dump shooting their guns at absolutely nothing, with great vigor.
More than anything, Guns of El Chupacabra is an important reminder that just because you and friends got together and filmed… something, you don’t actually have to release it.
Mike Nelson raves, “... probably the worst movie we’ve ever done” and “I hate it more than many, many, many other movies.”
This one must be seen to be believed, prepare yourself for Guns of El Chupacabra with Mike, Kevin and Bill!
