Though some reports contradict, recent historians believe that James Cruise, who insists on being called Ronin Fox (THE Ronin Fox to you), was born in a log cabin in the middle of the Canadian Tundra, about 13,367 km away from Japan. Reports are shaky about the year. As a young boy, Ronin didn't have much to do, so he amused himself by watching the roaring fires of his secluded home. Getting easily bored by the repetitive plot, Ronin began to riff said fire. "You call that cracklin' " he'd have been heard to say. He made one attempt at a live fire riff but forgot to shave that day, some confused him with Bigfoot.

Finding an unknown Riffi master, Ronin Fox learned the ancient arts though techniques like the 80s music video montage. After honing his riffing skills, he now wanders through the American southwest armed only with a microphone and a sharp wit as he searches for his long lost half brother. While he tries to pass undetected for the most part, often he is drawn into the open when he spots a store with a DVD shelf, and he must riff in the name of justice.

Aided by the lost soul of a movie fan, now known simply as Shadow, he now brings his riffing exploits to the people via the strange magics of the internet with the help of friends made along the way.

(There is a 97% chance none of this has anything to do with anything beyond riffs featuring James "Ronin Fox" Cruise being sold.)
