Conor Lastowka

Writer

Conor Lastowka has enjoyed making people laugh his entire life. His favorite story about himself of all time is the time in college that he faked a good friends death and lots of people believed it (not everyone laughed.) He wrote the Wildly Successful (Erik: please make "wildly successful" 14 point font, bold and flashing) comic strip Permanent Tanooki for three years, and plays bass for a band called Re-Ree, which he has been in since 8th grade.

Among other things, he cites Dave Barry, Bob Dylan, The Simpsons, RBI Baseball and the "Bunnicula" series of books as his greatest influences. He is the co-founder of two fake holidays: National High Five Day and Thanksgiving In July. He is always eager to co-found more. One of the proudest moments of his life was the day he wrote his friends an email with the subject line "Today I got paid to watch 'Crossroads' starring Britney Spears."
