A rather pushy short by Avon that demands women constantly be either in the act of spraying perfume on themselves and all available surfaces, or JUST ABOUT to be spraying perfume on themselves and all available surfaces. There is absolutely no alternative available in this no-holds-barred, envelope-pushing look at women who smell and the people who smell them.

Apparently, there was a time when Avon was happy to present 13 minutes of advertising so heavy-handed that today's 1-hour infomercials seem pretty subtle. The main premise of the original short was that absolutely everything in a woman's life needs to be dunked in artificial scents of one sort or another. Wrists, hair, cabinet drawers, closets -- absolutely everything! The short also shows us how people around the world slave away to make these artificial scents. ___p___ This track has a good selection of riffs, well-placed in the silent spots of the original short. And the way the original video is done, it's got lots of perfectly-placed spots to put in those riffs. While "Upsetting Shorts" seems to be a new riffer here at Rifftrax, the riffs are presented in a confident casual manner of an experienced riffer. Both audio and video details are well done (in a technical sense). I enjoyed this riff a lot. I felt this is worth 5-stars, as was the other recent iRiff from Upsetting Shorts. ___p___ As I mentioned in the other short from these guys, it'd probably be a good idea to add a sign-on or sign-off line in the riff, saying who you are!
