Well nothing says 'Season's Greetings' like 16th century commedia dell'arte, bringing forth all the wonders of spousal abuse, animal beatings, racial stereotyping, reptile maulings, and mad rabid monkeys. All this sponsored by the 'MAN' himself, San-ta CLAUS!! (little Adam West beat there)

Today in someone's fake living room, are children. Children who today are very very old, but still retain the sordid series of events that caused them to shrillingly bawl, whilst tearing at their eyelids, and wetting three layers of garments including down-filled snow-pants. Perhaps it is the harsh snap of a kendo stick against paper-mache features that stands-out most in their memories. Or maybe it's the deafening wails of housepets being flung into drywall. Nevertheless, this is the Christmas that marked the end of innocence for many, and soon after sent them off to war.

Okay, so it's a horrid lil puppet show shown at a very inappropriate time. But check-out Santa in this flick, giving out lavish presents to all the girls and boys as though he were the real Santa Claus. Or for that matter..uh..well..REAL!! You'll witness him surprising some hopeful little lady by pulling the thing she wants the most right out of his all-concealing a-..!

All right,..no dirty poop words today. It's Christmas! And we'll leave the obscenities to some puppets, as a crummy movie is mocked mercilessly.

No sorry, not THOSE puppets. Again 'We' here at the "Turkey Shoot" still means 'me'.

One reason for a lot of therapy in the 1960's...

... was probably due to kids watching Punch+Judy as a *Christmas* show in the late 1940's. I guess it's a nice change of pace from all those movies of people wishing for a white christmas, angels earning their wings, and "God Bless Us All, everyone". I'm thinking that Rambo might eventually turn into a Christmas movie, if it just started out with Rambo being introduced by Santa Claus. ___p___

An entertaining short, in a scary sort of way! Maybe should show this for halloween instead of christmas!

Twisted

Great voice acting and very funny.

Not much Santa(that's a good thing), but plenty of Punch and Judy(a bad thing).
