Imagine another world filled with mighty warriors and evil sorcerers fighting over a stronghold of great power, power to rule over all of creation!
Now imagine that world didn't have the budget to show itself and had to stage much of their battle in a low populated American town.
Yes it's Masters of the Universe, a toy line so big and popular it spawned four animated series to date and a major film (in the sense that anything produced by Golan-Globus can be considered a major film). Enjoy with us as we watch Dolph Lundgren play He-Man about as convincingly as your little brother did his first Halloween and Frank Langella play a character somewhat less evil and cartoony than Nixon.
Performed by James "Ronin Fox" Cruise, Andrea "Anais.Jude" Krottner, and Matt "DraCCu" Hampton.
Written by James Cruise, Andrea Krottner, Matt Hampton, Scott H, Christopher Wyer, Mike 5150, D.B. Barnes, David and Alissa Krottner

He-Riffic!
Very funny iRiff! Really liked the running gags (the "whatever the Eternian word for is", and the shotgun joke), and plenty of laugh out loud moments. The riff stays pretty consistently funny throughout, with nothing I could really call a "slow section".
There are sections of the riff (the beginning especially) where the jokes feel sandwiched together too closely to really enjoy each one. Also, the syncing was a little hard: the echoing sync-lines made it difficult to tell if the movie and the riff were synced up properly. But those are just two tiny pieces of gristle in what's otherwise a nice piece of delicious steak grilled to perfection, then smothered with carmelized onions of comedy. Also, now I'm hungry.
Anyway, solid riff! Definitely recommended for fans of the old cartoon, fans of cheesy Star Wars ripoffs, or fans of not being able to understand 90% of dialogue spoken by a movie's lead character. And everyone else too, for that matter.
Darth Fabulous!!!
Very funny stuff, indeed. The performance was great; the addition of Anais adds yet another dimension to an already great team. She fits right in and does a fantastic job. The chemistry between the three riffers is excellent. The delivery is natural and the jokes deliver time and time again; this is one of the most consistently funny iRiffs I’ve heard. The riffing flows well with no noticeable gaps. The Gwildor and Skeletor impressions are excellent. This is an over-the-top goofy movie which is pretty entertaining on its own and downright hilarious with the riff. This riff is funny AND very fun. Good stuff! Excellent audio quality.
Favorite laugh-out-loud moments (among many):
"He pulled his acting muscle."
Timeshare riff.
Robby's Ribs n' Chicken shakes riff.
“Zen dwarf bullshit!”
Jack White as Kate Moss riff.
“Bam!!!”
For what it's worth, I highly recommend this iRiff. You won’t be disappointed.
A movie that desrved to be riffed
Good job guys. This movie needed to be dealt with. No Sliders references though! So now since Julie and Kevin were sent back in time won't they have to go through this all again? And what about they're past selves? Meh, horrible movie. Thanks for riffing it.
LOL excellent. Go He-man.
LOL excellent. Go He-man.
A+
Excellent iRiff! RoninFox does it again. I liked the inclusion of a female riffer, makes for good variety. Also, make sure to get this one and not be confused with the one by Corvis and J. Freek.
Another iRiffs classic
Ronin Fox has done it again. Another great riff.
The addition of Andrea "Anais.jude" Krottner really up the quality of the riffs. The three performers have a great chemistry and Masters of the Universe is the perfect target for their style.
This should go down as an iRiffs classic.
As a bonus when you get this
As a bonus when you get this on DVD you can listen to Gary Goddard's commentary where he actually explains decisions like not making Skeletor look like a skeleton, and going to Earth, and replacing Orko with Gwildor and so forth, and do it constantly with the air of someone who has no idea that his film was as bad as it was.
Why Does "Skeletor" Not have a Skeleton Head?
Wow, this had to be the cheapest sci-fi movie I have ever seen. It was filmed in modern times and "Skeletor" did not have a skull for a head. What the heck is going on???
The riff was another first class affair, full of good and funny riffs.
Quick fix
The Read-Me file had some mistakes, that have now been remedied. So there.
by the power of greyskull
Another great Riff from Ronin, fried gold.
Poopie
Oh poopie. I was going to do this movie. Oh well. Plenty of other smelly turds out there.
Attention PAL users!
As I point out on the product page, I need a PAL tester for this track. My normal PAL tester was unable to get a copy of the movie (It's still in print here in the US, but it seems most other countries just have too high tastes to keep producing them) so the PAL version of this riff needs to be tested. If you have a PAL copy of the movie please contact me and I'll get you a free copy of the riff to test.
