TRON. We can't really identify it as a movie. It's a shared experience of nostalgia. Everyone we talk to remembers loving it, but can't remember when they last saw it. And so we, in our continued efforts to improve our community, have taken it upon ourselves to educate the viewing public on just how bad this film really was. Oh sure -- there's glowing spandex, futuristic crotch rockets, intelligent frisbees, David Warner - all things we'd love to have in our daily life - but underneath it all, there's a digital elephant in the room, begging you to realize that when a programmer is sucked into a virtual world in order to save humanity from a computer hellbent on domination, we should recognize it simply as The Matrix, and call it a day.

Through Riff Raff Theater's unique writing process of crowdsourced comedy, anyone who wants to can participate in the riffing! Earn free copies of riffs and other great prizes by joining our writing team! Find out what they're terrorizing next at www.riffrafftheater.com!

Good riff. It produced a few hearty laughs from me. I'd say it was actually a bit better than the recently released Rifftrax Presents offering. I recommend this one to all iRiff fans.

Also what a weird coincidence that the last Rifftrax Presents (of Die Hard) was also of a movie covered by RiffRaff Theater. I wouldn't be surprised if an RP of Speed comes out soon.

Worth the Money

A very good riff and well worth the investment. It's a great target too as Tron is not only a good movie, but also good to riff, especially considering how the special effects have aged since its release. Highly recommended for sci-fi geeks, computer geeks, or geeks in general.

Re: Joda

Just for your info, we haven't been able to find a different cut of the movie. There are editions that have a different division of chapters, but the riff will still line up, and sync lines should still work fine. If there's an edition that we haven't researched, let us know!

Thanks, but it seemed to work itself out after a couple of days. Sadly, the version I got was not the same as the DVD I have. Oh well.

Funny

I had never seen Tron before and the movie itself was not horrible.

The iRiff was very funny. Always a good thing when the movie does some of the heavy lifting for the riffers.

Very much recommended.

Good collection, part 2

[splitting my comment into two parts, because I can't seem to get paragraph breaks to work in a review/comment here...] __p__

My biggest disappointment was that there were no riffs which referred to the Babylon 5 series (or at least, I didn't notice any...). The movie has Peter Jurasik playing a minor character, and Bruce Boxleitner as the main TRON "Program/Character". Peter played Londo Mollari on B5, and Bruce Boxleitner played Sheridan -- two of the key characters in that series. It would have been fun to have a few quotes from Londo's character with his extreme accent, or maybe TRON saying "Yes, I was dead, but I'm feeling better now". But maybe some B5 references are in the riff track, and I just missed them the first time through. __p__

And there were a few riffs which seemed a bit too risque for a PG film (IMO), but only a few. And I guess one of the nice things about iRiffs being standard MP3 files is that the end-user could just use a sound-editting program and turn down the volume on a riff or two. The riffs were all fine for me, but I used to watch MST3k with my young nephews and niece, and I can't help but think a few riffs might have been a bit awkward in a setting like that.

Another good collection of riffs from RRT

The gang at RiffRaff Theater again did a good job of selecting a variety of great riffs and putting them together with the target movie. It helps that the movie has stretches of reasonably-quiet, dialog-free space (where the audience is supposed to be in awe of the graphics of the day...), so there was room for plenty of riffs. __p__

In any case, this is easily another 4-star ("Great!") riff, and very close to a 5. I think it falls a little short of the great job they did with the riff for "Speed", but I'm looking forward to future riff-tracks from this group. I think that even one good "Viiiiiir!" (in Londo's voice) might have been enough for me to give this a 5... :-)

Just watched it.

I think I liked the Speed riff more, but I think that's cause I was never a fan of TRON. Still, another great riff.

Favorite joke was the dirty one at near the end. No spoilers here.

I would email them your problem. Have your username ready. They have some bugs to work out still.

Can't download

I just bought this, but it doesn't figure in my file list. Is the procedure for iRiffs different? If so, will someone tell me how I am supposed to download it? I searched the forums, and found nothing.

Thanks in advance

I love this movie!

This is a great riff! Not just because I helped write for it, but because it is the perfect movie to make fun of cuz you can enjoy the movie and the riff at the same time. If you like Star Wars, you will enjoy the jokes in this one. If you don't like Star Wars then you need to go back to North Korea!
