Die Hard may qualify with some of you as a "quality" flick, but think about what it brought you: The star power neccessary for Bruce Willis to make Hudson Hawk. The premiere of Severus Snape. The man who went on to direct Speed. And every cringeworthy action flick cliche? It was spawned HERE! How can you pass this up? We certainly didn't, and neither did the dozens of writers who came along for the ride.

Re: Audio issue?
The movie and riff are two separate things. When you actually play them together, you can make the riff as loud or quiet as you want, and the audio level on the riff was pretty consistent throughout when I played it.
funny, but audio issue?
The riffs are funny. On the sample, the movie was too quiet.
A solid 9 in my book!
I greatly enjoyed this effort! It scored a 9 in my book, VERY high quality recording sound wise, I enjoyed the variety in riffs thrown at us, from the obvious Harry Potter-Snape references to calling VHS a primitive attempt at Blu Ray. Very fun and I hope they keep up the good work.
It's crap
You would think with a group of 28 people could come up with something funny, but your wrong. This commentary was very static, there was no chemistry or style to the jokes. It didn't even sound like the guys were in the same room while recording. I will say one thing I use this with my own riff track as example of what not to do. After about 30 min in I wanted to shut it off and watch the movie without the "riff".
Shame on you, it takes alot of time and talent to write funny jokes, and this is the best you can come up with. Anyone who thinks that this is funny has no idea what funny is and should just watch there Darma and Greg DVDs and stop encouraging mindless humor.
Decent stuff.
I'd give it a 3/5, The audio quality was fine, on par with official Rifftrax. Riffing itself didn't really wow me, but it's hard to wow me if Mike Nelson or Bill Corbett aren't involved. I got some chuckles, but no hearty guffaws. I liked the Matthew Elliot Rifftrax Presents better.
Good stuff
Good track all around: wide range of references, good emotional delivery, and decent running gags. Only a few spots of dead air where something really could've gone in for a good zinger make this not quite a 5 (though certainly well above a 4). Al-a-ka-grooch!
I was sceptical
I was a little concerned about riffing on Die Hard, because I didn't think the movie really deserved the riffing treatment but this one didn't disappoint. I think the only reason that Speed would be considered better was because that's a bad movie and this is a good movie (and come on. Riffing on Keanu is so easy), but the riffs were both top notch.
Die Hard vs other RiffRaff's.
FWIW, I'd agree that "Speed" is a better riff track, but then I think "Speed" is possibly the best iRiff done by anybody so far in iRiff'ing history. I do think "Die Hard" is a better riff track than "Tron", at least for the laughs I got out of it. One thing I like about the riffing here is that pretty much all the riffs are definitely for the movie we're watching. I'm starting to find even some official Rifftrax annoying when they throw in some "generic riff" which really doesn't have much to do with what is going on in the movie at the time.
Not as good as Speed
Speed is a much better Riff Raff Theater release, but this one was enjoyable. There were some very funny, laugh-out-loud moments, but not a lot of them. The deliveries were excellent for the most part (with a few strange exceptions), and the Riff Raff guys did all they could, but the jokes submitted just weren't quite as strong this time. More obvious/filler jokes than I would've liked. Worth a watch, but if you're only going to buy one Riff Raff release, make it Speed.
Pretty Good
This was a bit of a let down compared to Speed, which was glorious, but there were still several laugh-out-loud moments. Sound quality is very professional and their voices have decent energy. There were a few lines where the deliveries sounded lackluster or maybe a better word would be "canned," but they were in the vast minority. The jokes themselves were well-varied in style (one of the benefits of having a writing staff of a couple dozen) and there were few if any noticeable dry spells.
Great riff for a great movie
Yes, that's right, I do like the original movie "Die Hard" --- but I'll also say that this riff track is a good companion to the film. Another good collection of lines from the crowd-sourcing method of Riff Raff Theater. I've watched this several times, and each time catch different jokes that I somehow missed in the earlier trips through it. Nice sound quality and well-placed riffs. I have no reservations in marking this as a 5-star riff.
Too funny
Another great job guys. Great quality sound, great quality jokes - all around awesome!
A MUST Buy
Just finished watching this.
EXTREMELY professional sounding. Dont know what kind of recording equipment you all have, but it sounds aces.
FUNNY Riff with lots of references all over the place. Reminds me of MST3K. Probably due to the number of writers you all get.
GREAT and highly recommended.
PAL
Pal version is coming, I'll make sure to shout when it's up.
PAL?
Just bought it and of course i didn't check it there was a PAL version of it :D will there be a PAL version? cause i can't really be arsed to buy a NTSC version just to hear this, though so far i've heard it's hilarious
Hysterical
Easily the best of the Riff Raff releases so far. Many laugh-out-loud moments, and a production quality that rivals the official RiffTrax commentaries for professionalitiness.
Highly recommended.
Another GR8 Riff of a Classic 80's Action Flick!!!
Awesome Job yet again!
If you know the movie, a Sample is not needed as the Riffing just added to the experience!
