Do you find yourself losing sleep at night waiting for the next Hollywood smash with time travel as it’s only major plot device? Is it impossible for you to get enough of Paul Walker? Do you like arrows? Then Timeline is the movie for you.
Join Christopher Wyer and Andrew Swaw as they travel to 1357 France with a small group of archiologists trying to save one of their own. They mess up the past, then try to fix it, then decide not to fix it entirely but still fix it a little. It all sorta makes sense in the end. At least some of them die in Michael Crighton’s standard pick em off one at a time fashion.
*We've tried to follow the Rifftrax Guidlines and mark this as explicit content but in reality we only drop 2 f-bombs. And considering the movie, you'll want to too.

Great riff!
One of Raven's earliest works and yet the comedy and deliveries are as solid as ever! This is a STEAL at 99 cents! I couldn't recommend this movie highly enough!
I need to see this one
I am so glad someone riffed this movie. The book is actually really good; I highly recommend it. It's a shame the movie totally !@#$ed it up. I'm trying this one at my earliest convenience. And 99 cents! What a bargain!
PAL is up!!
The PAL version is up. I don't have a PAL version of the disk to check the synch so if there are any problems please contact me through the message boards or via email.
Audio file has been updated
I went through and fixed the volume it should louder and more even throughout. Those of you who have purchased already can re-download any time. I still plan on re-recording and adding our new intro music but it's much better than it was.
-Christopher "Raven" Wyer
A worthy purchase
A solid riff for a ridiculous movie. There is some issue with the audio quality, but not enough to hurt the quailty jokes and good back and forth between the two riffers.
*Note - I watched this riff previously by downloading it from Raven's site.
I hate this movie (without this riff)
Raven's Riffs are quite funny, and I would recommend them to any sad bastard needing to smile.
Timeline is a terrible movie that finally gets its due.
Pretty good
Copied from the forum thread:
First the good:
- It stayed in sync;
- If I hadn't been sick when I watched it I would have laughed out loud at several of the jokes
- There were some really clever things (I tried to keep track of the best lines but I've already forgotten some of them...) The "Running... A forest... Running... ... Seems like we could've had something there." was a great way to deliver that joke. Kudos for the synchronized belching line! None of us can pull off one decent fake belch let alone two in unison. "Don't touch the ground; it's lava!" was another memorable line. There were more but those are the only ones I can think of right now....
Now the criticisms:
- Obviously, the sound quality is an issue. I couldn't understand a lot of the jokes due to this. You might need better mics, but there may be a cheaper solution.
- You should edit the intro tighter. This is a minor complaint, but it did kind of drag unnecessarily.
- The deliveries need more energy. Also, you need a lot more first-person jokes. They are usually funnier and they have more character and energy...or maybe they're funnier *because* they have more character and energy.
All the Paul Walker Bashing you can get
outside of the Fast and the Furious that is. This was a great riff with great quality sound and writing! Raven's Riffs are def up in the top 3 for me and I eagerly await his next ones. Def check this one out!
Archologists Lead Such INTERESTING Lives
(I downloaded this from Raven's site a few months ago and not via iRiffs. My vote and comments are based upon that riff)
What a goofy movie! I was half expecting to someone in the middle ages with a wrist watch.
Nice riffing and good pacing throught. The riffers worked off of each other rather nicely.
Recommended.
