Q: What is an iRiff?
A: An iRiff is a home-made audio commentary that you can upload to the RiffTrax Store and sell to our thousands of daily visitors. You'll make 50% of the net revenue your iRiff generates, paid in quarterly installments on balances over $25.
Q: What do the different formats, NTSC and PAL, mean?
A: The short answer is that NTSC files are for people in North America, including the United States and Canada. PAL files are for users in regions other than Region 1, such as the United Kingdom and Australia. The long answer has to do with technical specifications of each format. NTSC and PAL have different framerates - meaning a PAL video actually is a bit faster than its NTSC counterpart, making it somewhat shorter. It's difficult to notice unless you have two versions of the same movie (or audio file) playing side-by-side; but eventually you'll notice the PAL version being ahead of the NTSC version. Sometimes the difference is as much as a few minutes! If you find that your mp3 file is constantly out of sync with the DVD you're watching, first make sure that you've downloaded the correct format of mp3 (NTSC for Region 1, PAL for elsewhere) and then check other things, such as the DVD version (Collector's Edition, Director's Cut, etc.) is correct for that mp3 file. All of these questions will be answered... well maybe not answered... explained... somewhat... well that's not really true either. I guess they'll be at least glazed over in the first Video On Demand iRiff from Raven's Riffs. The first of the 2 shorts in this presentation is an antivandalism film from the 1970s called "Destruction: Fun or Dumb" and the second is "Duck & Cover," the instructional video presented to children in the 40s on how to protect themselves from a nuclear blast by falling down and covering their heads. Seriously... a NUCLEAR BLAST. It's 23 minutes of fun featuring some of the worst impressions in all of iriffs (don't say I didn't warn you).

Really Good Riffs
This is my first listen to raven's riffing.
The first short fun and dumb had some really great lines and impressions. Definitely worthy of an A in my books. Had me chuckling throughout the riff. Definitely the strongest riff of the two. Duck and cover had a few good moments and gets a B- for me. Still good riffing, just not as many laugh out loud moments.
There are a lot of memorable lines between the two riffs which is not that common when watching riffs for shorts. Heck, I've seen rifftrax shorts with far less memorable lines. With that said... anyone looking for a good solid short ought to check this one out. (btw- the audio quality was excellent. No problems there)

I'll say Fun
This video includes some good funny lines for the two shorts. Some that I liked were "Jack Nickleson's Window and Door", or the narrator saying "Vandalism is not limited to poor or city areas, or to boys", and the riff is "And here to illustrate this point, Two poor city boys" (that's what the video is showing at the time). I also liked the video showing a man ripping pages out of a book in the library, and the riff saying "This is how a book becomes a movie script!". ___p___
The technical issues are handled pretty well in this video iRiff. The sound is fine (except for a few points where the sound was pretty bad in the original video), and the video is nice and clear. I do wish the video was a bit larger (as far as screen size). It's a nice deal to include two shorts in a single iRiff, as that adds up to over 20 minutes of entertainment. But it might make sense to do this as two separate files for people to download, since people may want to watch either one of these videos without playing the other one at the same time. ___p___
As others have noted, the first video includes a song about "Hey is it fun, or just dumb?", and it is distressingly easy to get that song stuck in your head!

Worth watching several times... as a fan riff thats no small accomplishment. The jokes are cleaver and well written, yet Raven still brings it all at a rapid fire pace. The track is accessible for all audiences, and his references are spot on.

Very professional. At no point in time was I reminded I was listening to a "fan riff", which is the highest compliment I can give. Very wide range of references, about the only place you didn't go was making fun of the way people look. While I love that kind of stuff, I know a lot of people don't so I'm not even saying you made the wrong choice. Great job!

Really great stuff! While I felt the first short started things off a little slow, the second one knocked it out of the park! A fun viewing experience!

I added a version with the audio equalized better. The source audio is now turned down more when it competes with the Riff.
Protect Yourself From A Nuclear Attack NOW!
Very funny double feature with good and clever jokes. Adding the intros to each short was a very good idea that I had not seen anyone else do before. This one is on my iphone and I will be watching it alot. The only real suggestion for improvement would be to increase the volume on your riffs so that they are louder. Looking forward to more.

Funny funny stuff, between the two shorts you definitely get your money's worth, though that Fun or Dumb song will haunt me for a long time to come now.
