"'A Thousand Narfs' is about a rare narf who comes once in a generation of a narfs—called a Madam Narf." Young-Soon sums the story up pretty nicely right there: This movie is about saying the word "narf" (yeah, that expletive Pinky used to use) at every possible opportunity.
But wait! There's more! You'll also hear the word "scrunt," which, although it sounds like a small rodent with a gimp leg, is actually a wolf-like beast with grass all over it whose special power is that "it can lie...completely flat!" Stop laughing; this is serious.
There's also a mud called "key" and three monkeys with one name and an abusive pool maintenance man and an evil nerd and one of the Fine Young Cannibals.
M. Night Shyamalan also casts himself as a writer who's work will change the world and kills off a movie critic in effigy. That guy! What a clown.

Hi! Tracy from QuipTracks here. Just wanted to say PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE rate and comment! After months working on a QuipTrack, feedback means a lot to us. Thanks!
I loved this Riff! A must have. You will not be disappointed! Way to go Quiptracks!
A+ riff for sure. On par with your other riffs in terms of enjoyment. Favorite jokes?... banter at the end with the cereal and the birdman stuff was hilarious. I laughed at more... but it would take forever to list them all. Keep up the great work guys!
I wont bore everyone with my favorite jokes, but the riffing was first class from the start of the movie until the end..... there were NO lulls in the action.
I loved the give and take between the riffers and you could tell they had fun with it.
Highly recommended.
I found the characters in this movie interesting and amusing. Unfortunately M. Night had them trying to save the world. The quip tracks commentary makes the movie a lot more interesting. Mainly it makes it funny. Buy it and enjoy it many times more than by itself.
It was hard for me to say this because I love damn near every single riffing group with all my heart. But this is my favorite iRiff of all time. This movie is pretty much unwatchable without riffing but QuipTracks eased my suffering to the point where I love watching this movie now. To me this film is a modern day Plan 9 but with better production values and the main flaw is the story and characters...Mainly the story. Okay it is perhaps one of the worst stories ever told in film, and that coming from someone who has watched both Vase de noces and Son of the Mask and considers both superior to Lady in the Water.
The riffing is brilliant and the jokes are steady, not too rapid fire and no dead air either, a great balance. There is a point in the film where the story is so unbelievable that the guys from QuipTracks even start to lose it a bit and snicker, it's at that point during the riff that I felt a connection to them, my Fiance and myself both bust out laughing during that same time during the film, and to know that the people riffing the film see that same point as something even words can't sum up and can only laugh at because it's so ridiculous just makes me feel like this is what riffing is all about. It's about having fun!
PS. What the hell does the JG part of JG Scrunt mean? I would love to know if anyone knows the answer.
I've heard that this is one of the worst movies ever. Now, I've seen A LOT of bad movies so I'm pretty sure it isn't, but it is pretty damn bad. This IRiff was the first time I've ever seen the movie, and am I glad to have watched it with Tristan, Tracy and Kevin as they made it bearable.
This is one of my favorite IRiffs. In fact, I love it so much, just writing this review gave me the craving to watch it again. So, if you are reading this review, quit reading and do what you have to do to enjoy this riff! Tristan, Tracy and Kevin are great riffers and writers and I eagerly await more from them! Now, I'm off to watch it again!
These folks have been around for a while but this was my first exposure to their brand of riffing. All I can say is better late than never! These guys don’t disappoint, they delight. The writing is top-notch with very clever, well thought out jokes. The performance is just as good with great timing, chemistry and character. The joke density is very high with absolutely zero downtime. You can just tell that a lot of time and care went into this riff.
It’s been mentioned here already, but I have to echo Warwilf’s comment regarding the point in the movie when the riffers just lose it as a result of the movie reaching unprecedented heights of idiocy. Seriously, if you don’t bust a gut during the back-and-forth cell phone/story explanation scene, I would check to make sure you’re not clinically dead. (“He’s taking it seriously?!?”)
There are a couple of great running gags that seem to get funnier with each subsequent riff. In particular, the Reggie riffs are pretty much all laugh-out-loud and the character impression is spot-on. There are tons of hilarious Paul Giamatti riffs as well. This movie is so ridiculous that I could almost watch it without a riff…almost. The riff makes watching this turd extremely enjoyable. This is definitely a track that will stand up to repeated viewings. Be sure to stay tuned for the cereal sketch at the end of the movie.
Favorite laugh-out-loud moments (I will bore you with them!):
Gigantic kid riff! (Makes me laugh just thinking about it.)
The literate ladder riff!
The Febreeze riff!
“They had to build the apartment around him.”
900 number riff.
Improv partner riff.
For what it's worth, I highly recommend this iRiff. If you don’t find this funny, well, I feel bad for you quite frankly. I will definitely be back for more QuipTracks.
