iRIFF BY: MoleMan Riffs  (Created May 2, 2009)

The final key has been found to our own evolution.  The one thing holding us back from taking the place of the gods themselves...adrenaline.  Yes as it turns out, adrenaline makes you fly, run faster, jump cars without a ramp, and gives you perfect accuracy.  Yes adrenaline can even make you...CURVE BULLETS!!!

So why do people like this movie?  I believe it was the use of the tried and true Cinderella plotline, the rags-to-riches story, going from nobody to somebody.  This film truly captures the imagination of a child...because surely an adult mind could not conceive of this (Although I have been caught praying to a magical loom before).

Get your silver slippers ready....if for no other reason then to have something handy to impale yourself with if you find you cannot handle this movie.

This is an iRiff!
What are iRiffs?

Mine too

Thanks SJP. When I came up with that Pew Pew Pew thing I had to drop what I was doing pace around the house for a while and work the giggle off. I seriously could not control myself for a while. Puns can be unfunny and annoying but if you do them right they can be the funniest type of joke. I don't think I missed an opportunity with her climbing on the hood. I was quite proud of my "Hey I'm going to do that 'I'm the king of the world' thing from Titanic" and "I'm still king of the world" when it flashed back. Unless you're talking about another part. Anyways I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm going to check out your Mortal Combat riff since you commented on mine and I'll be sure to leave you feedback.

Pew! Pew! Pew!

If that makes no sense to you, you haven't watched the riff. Favorite joke of the whole thing.

That being said, I do agree that your robot did turn into a bit of a "Hypnotoad" at the end, but that didn't stop me from enjoying the riff. My only real complaint was not that there were too many "hated it" gags (by the time I watched the riff, I had seen the movie three times; two of those were against my own free will and by then I thoroughly despised this film), but that some of them occurred during some "missed opportunity" moments (Angelina Jolie climbing out on the hood, for instance, begged for more comments), but I thought it was overall a good solo riff. As somebody who knows how tough a solo riff can be (and doesn't have a robo-sidekick to talk things out with), I thought the pacing and timing of gags worked, with a good mix of "visual" riffs as well as "referential" ones, as well as keeping the lid on too many bad puns. Sound was good, too, nice and clear with little hiss or other distracting noise.

pretty good sample

fav. lines:
'take that, logic!'
'take that, gravity'

Also your recording setup is good , some iRiffers sound like crap.

Moleman your alive

I thought that Wanted killed you and you needed 10 comments to be revived. I guess it just took my comment to bring you back.
Thank you for your feedback. It was our first riff, and we have corrected the problems you mentioned. Thanks for saying I had a good voice. I kind of thought that Jonathan's voice was more of a fun robot sidekick voice, we joked about that as we listened to ourselves. I am working on 3 more riffs right now, as well as working full time and starting a business, and we will be doing a better job with those.

Thank you once again for enjoying our track and for the feedback.

You buy mine, I buy yours

I've said this on the forums and I'll say it again here. I want comments so badly, even if they're negative, that if someone comments on mine and they too have an iRiff I might just buy there's as a way to say thanks. Unless the movie is really obscure or something I definitely wouldn't want a riff of. In Nathaniel's case, Star Wars II is a movie I have, needs a good riff, and one of the few I felt Rifftrax really didn't do that good of a job with. So I went ahead and bought his and will give him a full comment on his product page after viewing.

Thank you

Yes finally a comment! Only took 26 days *grumble *grumble. Anyways, yah I here you Nate it would be so much better if I had someone to do this with. As for the hate movie thing, well the thing is I REALLY DO HATE THIS MOVIE!!!! The other two riffs I did were actually of things I liked so there's far less of that. But I always tried to give a reason or point to a specific instance when I made a "I hate this movie" type comment and I never said it the same way twice. Repetition was one of my concerns when doing this. Even so, the point isn't to be really negative and have others join in my hate, the point is to have fun and laugh about its stupidity. It could be I just didn't pull it off the right way. Anyways, thanks again for taking the time to comment.

It's OK

I wasn't too sure when I first started listening. There was a bit too much of yelling about what was wrong with the movie. Once you backed off the "I hate it" kick you had some decent jokes. I think that you need to find a friend or 2 to help you develop a few jokes. What killed the whole thing was the "robot rant" at the end. If you are not going to joke about the movie, you can end it when the credits start.
Sometimes you seem to have the same riffing style that as the one I did.
You don't have to hate a movie to make fun of it.
