Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Episode 1
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Episode 1

You ever have that feeling of Deja Vu?  Well, you're about to get that feeling, that of Deja Vu, with Gundam Seed!  The answer to the question, 'What happens when you do Batman Begins to anime' shows us a world where humans and mut---wrong franchise, sorry.  This anime shows us a world where humans and Coordinators hate each other... even though humans made their kids into Coordinators... yeah, the less you think about it the better off you'll be.  If you want to know the overall plot, its Earth Vs. Zaft, the Coordinators, for indipendence, just like the 1979 Gundam anime only shiner and with a X-Men twist.  Thankfully, no Ratner.

Angsty teen forced into war?  Check.  The feminen looking dude?  Check.  The very angry guy?  Oh yeah, this is Gundam.

Well, things can only improve from here

Bad audio quality, unclear sync instructions ("wait for the explosion"... what explosion?), and a real need to do more then one take are my first impressions. Tripping over your own words is just annoying and ruins any timing you were going for. Still, we need more anime taken on here so keep at it :)

I'm kinda shooting from the hip with this one, I find some of the stuff people laugh at the most is if its right on the spot, but I'll be careful with my words.

As for the technical stuff, I'm trying to work that out. My main problems are I'm using Movie Maker, not a very reliable MP3 tool, especially when I used a converter, and the only speakers I have are built in the computer so I'm going to try to get a headset or something. As for the synch instructions, the DVD I have is from the box set and when I hit enter, there's an explosion and a puff of smoke then it starts. The next iRiff is ep 2, so I'll be better prepared this time around, thank you.

Ok, THAT explosion! I was

Ok, THAT explosion! I was looking for something in the episode itself, as I just ignore menu animations :) You just have to assume this might be the first time someone has put in this disc (as was the case with my rental) so more explanation is in order. A sync line at the "mach 4"dialog would set things up nicely for the rest of the episode. As for the tech stuff, there is a learning curve so I fully understand, but naturally at this point the top groups have ironed out the wrinkles and that's what you'll be compared with. Perhaps do a few practice episode riffs, listen to them, then go back and re-do them for posting. I will buy your next try :)
