You guys are crude, merciless, and wildly funny. Somewhere, Carl Sagan is laughing his ass off. Great job!
This isn't quite a standard rifftrax, which would have specific joke-lines in reaction to specific lines in the movie. It's more like a bunch of college guys who have had a few beers and are watching a movie which is driving them nuts. There's a lot of talking over the movie lines, which I usually find pretty annoying. ___p___ However, these guys are obviously comfortable with making "off the cuff" comments, and do a good job making each other laugh. Some of it is just simple commentary, some of it is making fun of the absurd physics that is shown, but there's also plenty of just plain funny lines in the mix. Their non-stop conversation takes a slow, plodding movie and makes it a fun time. ___p___ The language is what you might expect from a bunch of college guys on a few beers, and thus gets that "explicit content" tag. But if that won't bother you, this track is well worth the price. This is a sci-fi film that I pretty much hated, and they make it watchable. ___p___ One good line comes up just before the "upwelling" wipes out the first group of astronauts, they're talking about "red-shirts" and one of them says: ``Notice that his name-tag said "History" on it?''
