Racism?  Check.  Incomprehensible audio?  Check.  Pasty white guys tied up in embarrassing positions?  Check.

No, I'm not talking about a Friday night at the Trent Lott household, I'm talking about The Lost City!

I have to admit that I'm a little hazy as to the plot but it has something to do with Tinkerbell trying to marry a femmy guy while a wrestler and his slave run around looking for a confused old guy.  Oh, and there are lions!  No, not the Detroit Lions.  I'm talking about the good kind.

Some good riffs in this one

This isn't the stongest of the Lost City titles but there were definately some bits that got me laughing pretty hard. I liked the conversation after Manyus untied Butterfield, and the jokes while dragging Natcha to the pit was pretty amusing. A lot of the jokes didn't really interest me but I suppose that happens with any riff. There were a couple of spots where they went quite a while without a riff. It wasn't a really, really long time but long enough were I noticed it.

Definitely not bad

I don't know if this stupid serial is just finally getting to me or what (If you've kept up on the whole thing, we're well over three hours in at this point), but man. I think short of NONSTOP riffing, anything feels a bit slow at this point. I'm assuming that's what's up with me not totally loving this one. It's not bad, and there are some good, strong riffs throughout, and the two voices are easy to tell apart (which I like), and neither is horribly screechy or annoying (sometimes a problem with multi-voice riffs). I think the problem is just that a lot of us are riffing these as if they're shorts, which generally lend themselves to a slightly less intense riff style, and with shorts that totally works, and with maybe the first 4 or so Lost City riffs, it worked, too, but at this point it's like ... if I see Manyus look confused by one more ridiculous thing, I think I'm going to shoot someone. So it's tough to rate/review this, because honestly, I think the riff's pretty solid, it's just they got the unluck to be on the back end of this monster project. Maybe it's a mistake to watch these all so quickly; maybe the entire project was just a mistake. Maybe we should all throw ourselves into the pit of oblivion and die a quick, merciful death. OH GOD WHY. WHYYYYYY. Um. Where am I?
