New iRiff: Harass Bastards-The Lost City: Chapter 8!

The Lost City, Chapter 8 is an epic story of freedom. Freedom from being a different race that is. If you squint and turn your head slightly to the left you can make out some of the finer points of this chapter. A crazy magician witch doctor that has perfected the anti insta-tan. Some kind of crazy Queen with Elvis sideburns. A lot of African natives that go bonkers to have their very own Michael Jackson-ing. This story has it all, if you can just manage to see it.

The Harass Bastards attempt to be more offensive than the serial itself, which is no simple task.

Racism?  Check.  Incomprehensible audio?  Check.  Pasty white guys tied up in embarrassing positions?  Check.

No, I'm not talking about a Friday night at the Trent Lott household, I'm talking about The Lost City!

New iRiff: Riff Raff Theater - Lost City Chapter 9!

We volunteered for this Lost City group project months ago, and then spent the last few weeks wondering if *any* of the 12 groups bringing you these VOD riffs know exactly what's going on. We cound three rugged explorers, a damsel in distress, 2 (maybe 3?) warring native tribes, a femme fatale, an old scientist, a plucky sidekick, and then some weird alien dude watching over all of this madness with little recourse in how things happen.

Oh, and a 3 foot doppleganger of Terry Jones. There's always that.

New iRiff: Lost City Chapter 7!

By now you know, but it's more of the same: Natives run around, women scream, there's space-agey stuff, and it's all completely incomprehensible.

Watch as the action (?) is mocked soundly in Chapter 7 of "The Lost City"!

Script and performance by Matt Nelson, special thanks to Kevin Rudolph for writing assistance.

Don't forget to buy all the other parts, available at The iRiffs Crossover Project!

BARF as Jerry gropes Natcha like teenagers at the mall! HAM SANDWICH as the "good" good guys help Natcha escape and the "bad" good guys help Manyus escape, only to fall into the hands of a cannibalistic tribe! WATCH with "Just Andrew"!!

The Lost City - Chapter 2 - "The Tunnel Of Flame"

It's "Jungle Goddess" meets "Commando Cody" with a little "Crash of the Moons" thrown in! See a 1930's serial that probably only added to people's deppression. A plucky young electrical engineer/jungle explorer (no, really) and his pithy, but timid sidekick go to the heart of Africa to stop powerful electrical disturbances rocking the Earth. See giant natives who lack basic speech skills and hardly any basic motor skills, skin-tight shiny costuming, and what the producers thought "television" was.

New iRiff: The Lost City, Chapter 5 - "Tiger Prey"!

Ever wonder what really caused the Great Depression?  Spend 20 minutes with The Lost City, and you'll wonder no longer.  For the 1930s-era kids who spent all of their hard-earned pocket money to witness this slow, drab, action-free serial, great depression was the only logical response.

New iRiff: Ronin Fox Trax: The Lost City Chapter 4!

Part of the Lost City iRiffs Crossover Project.

Ronin Fox takes on "Doomed" the fourth chapter in this gripping tale of kidnapping, betrayal, betrayal by kidnappers, kidnapping from betrayers, betraying kidnappers by kidnapping already kidnapped victims, and of course gigantic African stereotypes. (Gigantic both literally and figuratively)

New iRiff: Atomic Treatment: The Lost City Part One!

In the 1930's Scifi was in it's first awkward steps but one set of serialized films combined exciting stories, dramatic acting and, for it's time, impressive special effects.  That was of course, Flash Gordon.  Unfortunately, we have here a lame ripoff of Flash Gordon, The Lost City.  Sort of an "Oliver and Hardy" meets "Lost Horizon" meets "Commando Cody".  Make sure to look out for the extra good-natured racism that was only slightly offensive for it's time <cough>American nazis<cough>.
