Again?!? Surely they didn't make another one. Ok, if you say so, but it does seem like overkill. Hor-RIFF-ic Productions is back for another installment of the famous horror franchise: Friday the 13th Part 3!
Gary, Erin, and Satan return to Crystal Lake looking some merry mayhem. But with the same recycled deaths and lame attempts at 3D photography, this one is going to be painful!
What's left to scrape from the bottom of this bloody barrel?
- Phallic symbols!
- Pregnancy...wait, what?!
- Hay, straw, and...more hay!
- Bowel movements...in 3-D!!!
- Manners Enforcement Squad!
- Harold - the worst man on Earth!
Plus: Random Hockey Equipment!
And guess what? You get an eyeball, and you get an eyeball, EVERYBODY GET'S AND EYEBALL!!! Well, what are you waiting for? Go buy it already!
Please take the time to rate and comment, don't be like Shelly. Everybody hates Shelly.

Welcome back friends. Hope you like our 9th victim, the 3rd in the Friday franchise. 3D glasses not required, but blindfold recommended. Be kind and rate or Sheriff Kenny Rogers will find you!
You guys keep getting better and better, this was awesome.
BTW-anyone watching this with the 3-D version, just restart the track after the "you need your 3-D glasses" message fades off the screen instead of the Paramount logo and you're synced up fine. You don't want all those awesome eye-popping handle shots to go to waste (not to mention the less frequent eye-popping eye-popping-out shots.)
So buy this track!
Oh, I mean please buy this track, ma'am, sir.
Thanks for heads up on the 3D message on that version, We've re-recorded the syncing instructions so that should correct the issue, the new files have been uploaded so if you've purchased it you should be able to re-download the new files. Enjoy and keep the comments coming.
These guys never fail to give a great track.. Loved Gary's Shelly voice.. Great job you three... Yes you did great too Satan.
I can't wait for the next track and the next outing to Crystal Lake.
5 Stars as usual!
Really liked this, the Satan voice-dealie takes a little getting used to but there's some fried gold in here.
..... and I think I did. Goodness, what a HORRIBLE character. Who wrote this movie anyway, it was terribly unoriginal and full of people you WANTED to die.
Very funny iRiff.
Finishing out the franchise...errrr, never mind. First off, did somebody buy some new microphones? WOW! The sound quality is so much improved over the early releases. Levels are higher and more consistent and the voices have a lot more bass. Very nice job.
As for the riffing, the crew doesn't disappoint. They've really come into their own at this point, their character and tone solidly established. That said I do have to say that I'm not a huge fan of the "Satan" character. I find myself either wondering why he's not more severely punished for his bad puns or thinking one of the other personas couldn't have delivered his line better. It wasn't a big deal at all because he doesn't chime in much. Perhaps I just haven't acquired a tatse for Satan...hmm, that didn't come out right. That aside, the riff delivers a steady stream of good jokes peppered with great jokes. Erin stands out with her signature sarcasm while Gary anchors the track with a variety of delivery styles. Erin has a couple of great extended riffs in this one. Did I mention what a colossal P.O.S. this movie is?!? Well, it is and the duo takes plenty of well-deserved jabs at what is essentially a really crappy remake of the first movie. Don't miss the hilarious bloopers at the end of the track. Sounds like these guys have a blast recording.
Favorite laugh-out-loud moments (out of many):
Catfish noodling riff.
"Nine dollars in quarters" riff.
Dementia Dad riff.
Another funny variation on the "ch-ch-ch-ah-ah-ah" theme.
Dale Hammock!!!
I highly recommend the whole Friday the 13th trilogy. These guys debuted strong and have only gotten better over time. Looking forward to Part IV...Final Chapter MY ASS!!!
Hor-RIFF-ic Productions is the workhorse of iRiffs. They put out an iRiff per month (knock on wood), and you can always count on every riff they put out to be- worst case scenario- a 4.5 out of 5. They remain probably the most single consistently reliable, best laughs-per-dollar groups out there.
Great riffs throughout. Not my favorite of their riffs, but still better than most anything else you were planning to download. Sound-quality that's right on par with official Rifftrax releases. Bloopers so funny that they practically justify the cost of the purchase all by themselves. What do you want me to say? If you haven't already check out Hor-RIFF-ic Productions releases, you have probably lost the necessary fingers on your Internet-Purchasing hand.
I can pretty much promise you that your local Blockbuster has this movie in stock right now. Watch this riff tonight.
OMG ROFL!!! I've been timid about trying iRiffs because, let's face it, Mike & Kevin & Bill are geniuses!!!
And, you know...they're famous, too! I already knew what I was getting with their work because I've been an MST3K fan since it was on the air.
But I've also been a Friday the 13th fan since I saw the 2nd one on HBO back in the early '80s, and since the Unholy Trinity hasn't riffed my favorite horror franchise, I checked out the samples for Hor-RIFF-ic Productions' riffs...
GENIUS!!! I laughed out loud a couple of times watching the trailer, so I bought their iRiffs for the first 4 flicks...and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!!
See, I could write decent riffs for any number of movies, but what makes Erin and Gary Slasher (and Satan) so great is that you get a sense of their personas and individual senses of humor!!! They quickly become new friends whose quirks you understand and enjoy! (Kind of the same reason we came to love Joel and Mike and the Bots in the first place, and why local "comedians" who try to rip-off the gig tend to fail.) Erin and Gary aren't just anonymous wise-@sses searching for reasons to diss an old flick, they're your new buddies...who happen to be wise-@sses, sure, but even if they won't readily admit it, you sense they love the movie as much as they do.
But here's the main reason to buy their iRiffs: If you love the Friday series, buying these iRiffs gives you an EXCELLENT excuse to re-watch the flicks again...only, it's like watching them for the first time!!!
And if you feel you can take the word of some random stranger posting a comment on a board, then PLEASE BELIEVE ME that even though listening to Mike, Kevin and Bill feels like listening to your old, familiar friends, it won't be long before listening to Gary and Erin (and Satan) feels like hanging with your friends, too!
We've always got room for new friends in our life, right? ;)
