The Incredible Hulk is probably one of the most misunderstood super heroes.  The main reason for this being that he rarely speaks in coherent sentences.  "Hulk smash!"  "Hulk hate puny Banner" and "Betty?" are about all he can manage to belch out most of the time.  Personally, I suggest a speech therapist but the Hulk can be pretty stubborn about those things.

The Incredible Hulk tries to do what Ang Lee's Hulk failed to do; be a good movie.  It stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner doing his best Keanu Reeves impression, and William Hurt as General Ross doing his best Dick Cheney impression.  It also stars Tim Roth as Skeletor... er I mean Emil Blonsky.  Along the way other Incredible Hulk comic book characters make subtle, and not so subtle*, appearances.

The Incredible Hulk is FireRiffs first submission track, featuring jokes from several writers who submitted their scripts mixed in.  It was a lot of fun getting other takes on this movie and I think you'll enjoy what they add to the riff.  So sit back, enjoy the riff, and try to avoid any gamma irradiated blood you find lying around.

(If you have purchased this and had sync issues this has been fixed and the files have been replaced and should be available to you..  The last couple of sync lines may be a hair early.)

A fine solo track, a definite sign that Fireriffs gets better with every release.  While perhaps not the worst of the Marvel releases, the film does suffer from the "Love of Bill Bixby" syndrome, where we see the Hulk occasionally and too much Banner whining and bemoaning his fate...fine for a TV show with a small budget, but not so much for a multimillion studio production.

Though it has subsequently fixed, I watched this with the sync line issue, which was a minor problem, and a few low recorded jokes get lost under the explosions and ka-booms (when they do actually show up from time to time), but it does have some great gags, including several fine lessons on how not to be suspicious.  If you've never listened to a Fireriffs before, this is an excellent place to start.

Thanks for the review.  I'm very glad you enjoyed it.  I had a lot of fun with this one, even if it did take me an eternity to get it done.  For the next riff the sound quality should be much better.  I just got a Blue Snowball usb condeser mic so no more Microsoft headset for me!  I've been playing around with it and it doesn't clip as easily as the headset which means I can record at a higher volume level.  Can't wait to record a riff with it!
