Q: What is an iRiff?
A: An iRiff is a home-made audio commentary that you can upload to the RiffTrax Store and sell to our thousands of daily visitors. You'll make 50% of the net revenue your iRiff generates, paid in quarterly installments on balances over $25.
Q: What do the different formats, NTSC and PAL, mean?
A: The short answer is that NTSC files are for people in North America, including the United States and Canada. PAL files are for users in regions other than Region 1, such as the United Kingdom and Australia. The long answer has to do with technical specifications of each format. NTSC and PAL have different framerates - meaning a PAL video actually is a bit faster than its NTSC counterpart, making it somewhat shorter. It's difficult to notice unless you have two versions of the same movie (or audio file) playing side-by-side; but eventually you'll notice the PAL version being ahead of the NTSC version. Sometimes the difference is as much as a few minutes! If you find that your mp3 file is constantly out of sync with the DVD you're watching, first make sure that you've downloaded the correct format of mp3 (NTSC for Region 1, PAL for elsewhere) and then check other things, such as the DVD version (Collector's Edition, Director's Cut, etc.) is correct for that mp3 file. The 1970's have a lot to answer for: disco, terrifying facial hair, bell-bottoms. "Planet of Dinosaurs" is basically a primer for all of them- a glimpse at life in a simpler, hairier time when scenes were ruined by bad claymation instead of bad CGI.
When the crew of the Odyssey, part of the most inept space-exploration force in the known galaxy, is marooned on a distant planet, they prepare to make the best of things on this new world by tying some sticks together and calling it shelter. But when they find out that they're sharing the neighborhood with hordes of man-eating dinosaurs, it becomes a race for survival, expertly depicted by scene after scene of monotonous walking set to synthisizer fart-noises mistakenly labeled as "music".
Join Shawn and Keith of "Cinester Theater" as they take on this stinker from long ago. Also, they're joined by guest-riffer Syncy The Sync Goblin, who brings his unique brand of goblin vitriol to the group. Together, they form a comedy trifecta against which even the hungriest dinosaur is powerless to resist!

Note: There are technical difficulties with this riff. The video freezes in several places while the audio continues to play. The video automatically catches up with the audio after the picture unfreezes. At this time, we don't understand why this problem is popping up or what steps to take to fix it. We're leaving this riff up for sale because the problem isn't so bad that the video is rendered unwatchable, but it can be a little annoying.
Enjoyed the riffing, video still freezes in places
There's a number of good lines in this riff track, but there are still several points that the video freezes up while watching the file. The audio keeps going fine, and when the video does start back up, it starts up in sync with the audio. I have both this and the Rifftrax version of "Planet of Dinosaurs". This has quite a few good jokes in it, but the video glitches are obviously detract from the fun. I rated it a 5, although the technical issues make it a very weak 5.

No, I noticed that too when I watched it all the way through the other day. There must have been some kind of problem when we rendered it to a VOD file. We're working on trying to fix it, but since we're not even sure what the problem is, I dunno' if we'll be able to. If we're able to straighten it out, we'll be sure to hook everyone up who bought this version with a free copy of the improved one.

Decent comedy, technical glitches.
I'd say the quality of the riffing was about a 6/10. Not terrible, not terrific. The squeaky voice guy was a bad touch though.
Also, I noticed the AVI froze at several points. The audio would continue, but it would stick on a still frame for as long as 2 minutes. I don't remember where all of these points were, but one was at 57:18. Maybe it's just me.
