If you're like us, then you've probably seen more than your fair share of time-travel movies. Everyone knows the rules, of course: don't touch anything, don't talk to anyone, and keep all your nifty future gadgets out of sight until a dramatically-appropriate moment. But have you ever wondered what might happen if you traveled through time and decided to just toss all the rules right out the window?

Cinester Theater Presents the story of Marty, the worst time-traveler in movie history. After a series of wacky mishaps involving murderous Libyan terrorists, Marty finds himself catapulted back to 1955, where he wastes no time bumping into both his parents and putting his very existence at risk. Unfortunately for Marty, the only person he has to help him Doc Brown, a wild-eyed, legally-insane "scientist" who puts the "mad" in the phrase "mad-science" (while, simultaneously, removing the word "science" from the phrase "mad-science"). Together, they must find a way to fix the past and return Marty where he belongs... and maybe destroy the entire town of Hill Valley while they're at it.

With a rocking soundtrack consisting almost exclusively of "Huey Lewis and The News" and more incest than a Greek tragedy, "Back To The Future" will be one rollicking adventure through time that you'll never forget!

(Note: For some reason, the synch lines later in the iRiff happen a second after the character in the movie says it.The actual riffs are all fine, but it looks like our synch-lines drifted at some point while we were rendering it to an .mp3 file. Sorry about the mixup, we're not sure what happened, but it should be fine if you start the MP3 track when we tell you... just keep in mind that the later synch lines come a second after the character in the movie says it.)

Once you've checked out this one, why not take a listen to "Cinester Theater Presents: Back To The Future, Part 2"? Or take a look at some of our other iRiffs?

This is an iRiff!

Great Stuff

Oh man. This was one of the best iRiffs I've bought in a while. But now that you've done BTF 1....You know you have to do the other two.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

FINALLY watched this one tonight...... waiting until I could buy the DVD for $.99 on Amazon.com cuz I really hated this movie.

Wow, what a funny iRiff. I would have to give it 9 out of 10. Very funny jokes from start to finish. I did notice some of the blowing into the mic at the beginnng, but I really did not notice it after that...... probably due to me laughing out loud. I know they say it is hard to riff a comedy, but I found every joke in the movie lame, so to me it was not a comedy. Just a really "must purchase" iriff.

Huey Lewis Would Be Proud

I have to say, this turned out better than I'd have expected, mainly because I wasn't sure a movie this "whimsical" could be well-riffed. But I cracked up several times during this, which is always worth a few bucks, to me. ':)

*mild riff spoiler* I did worry that the Oedipus jokes might get old, especially since the vibe was clearly intentional on the movie's part, but by the end I was amused by the running gag.

My favorite parts, though, were when the logic of the movie was questioned (like with the photograph, and Marty's bedroom.) That sorta thing always bugged me about the movie. Wish there'd been more of that. (Maybe when you do BTTF2? ':D)

Anyway, I'm definitely going to check out future Cinister Theater riffs, and I just hope I'll be able to make one half as funny as this. Good job, guys!

A must buy!

It takes balls to go into a zone even Mike and Co won't go, but it takes talent to pull it off! These guys accomplish both!

Excellence in the Art of Riffing

This is the first riff I've heard from these guys and it's by far and away the best I've listened to so far. To take on an 80's classic and really tear into with such gusto is quite exhilarating. I have to track down the other Riffs from these guys because this Back to the Future riff is excellent.

A fun movie made even better!!

Wow that was a blast, I must say I am quite impressed with this riff, I loved Back to the Future as a kid and even back in college, but this riff made it so much more fun!!

This is a great riff to share with friends, very easy to get into, good sound quality and a nice variety in style of riffs!

Keep up the great work and I can't wait for your next riff.

Amazingly funny

Their best riff by far. Then again I've seen the movie itself so many times I didn't get distracted by it and got to enjoy the riff. The Doc Brown stuff was channeling Hubert Farnsworth. Bravo.

My first full Cinester experience

this is the first Cinester Theater riff I've seen in it's entirety and may I just say bravo gentleman.

I laughed, I cried, then I got around to watching this funny as all get out riff. Keep em coming fellas!

"DOC I HAVE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE FUTURE!" - IT RULES, WE HAVE NINTENDO!!

A Mixed Bag

It was almost bizarre how hit-and-miss this riff was. Every time I started to give up on it, there came another golden riff to bring me back. I thought it was clever the way you brought time loop paradoxes into the riffing (though I think it could have been even better if you had taken it further). I didn't think the "Doc Brown is evil" line of jokes ever worked and most of the lines needed some reworking, but it was clear you have talent. You just need to spend more time on the writing.

Consistently hilarious!

I would definitely recommend this if you laughed at all during the sample. I was expecting it to drop off in humor some time, but I was laughing from beginning to end (which doesn't happen too often even with an official RiffTrax!). The sound quality is far from perfect. Popping with hard consonants, some mic bumping, an occasional volume inconsistency. But the jokes more than make up for it. 5 stars!

Very funny

Fantastic riff. Great running jokes too. I do suggest a pop filter though. Otherwise it was really well done.

Good job on a funny movie

I wasn't sure how well a riff track would work for "Back to the Future", as it's something of a comedy film and that can be a problem when it comes to riffing. But the riff worked quite well for me, and in thinking about it I guess the movie isn't a plain dumb comedy movie. It's obviously not serious drama, but it does have a real plot that goes consistently through the whole movie. Which is to say, the plot at the end of the film is the same plot that started the film. And actually, that makes it a better plot than most "serious" movies that we get these days! ___p___

Getting back to the riff, Cinester Theater has a good collection and good variety of riffs. The sound quality could be a bit better, but I wouldn't say it was poor. It was certainly good enough quality for me, although there is some room for improvement. Some of the B's and P's do "pop" a bit too much. But the main measure of a riff track is how much fun it adds to watching the movie, and this iRiff does a good job for me. I'm going to give it 5-stars, although I'll say that it's not quite as good as some other iRiffs I've recently given 5's to. Maybe more like a 4.6 or 4.7. After watching the movie twice with the iRiff, I went to watch it once without the iRiff and actually missed hearing the extra jokes from the iRiff!

I didn't find this riff

I didn't find this riff funny. Additionally, the quality of the audio is very poor (lots of pops). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wErpaF1jvjU

This is by far one of the

This is by far one of the funniest iRiffs (and Rifftrax) ever. Every time I think about 'evil Doc' it still makes me laugh! Nice work.

Cinester Theater does it again!

This track was so much fun to listen to. I had doubts that a decent riff could be made out of a borderline comedy like Back to the Future, but these guys pulled it off. They offer a good variety of creative jokes with good voice delivery. If you're still on the fence about IRiffs, give this one a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed. And for all you fellow IRiffers out there hoping to hang with the best, this is the group to beat.

Pretty good, brother

And Shawn too...I guess. Just Kidding, do you know how hard it is to find a copy of Back to the Future these days. I think I'm also going to finally do a riff, so look out for it. Later.

Excellent Riff!

Very good job on this one! Great jokes, no dead air, good variety of references, well done performances. Very impressed with this and I really hope you riff the others in this series.
