What is iRiffs?

Think you have the chops to make a RiffTrax?

Just create and upload your humorous commentaries on anything, set your price, and we'll do the rest by hosting and distributing your content. You'll even get your very own product page to promote your iRiff. Best of all, you share in the sales of your iRiff! We will feature the best tracks on the RiffTrax home page and the funniest stuff will rise to the top based on our user comments and star rating system.

We'll be having contests with cash prizes, and the best iRiffs' artists will get invited to work with Mike Nelson and the RiffTrax guys, and get paid to make a RiffTrax Presents!

Q: What is an iRiff?

A: An iRiff is a home-made audio commentary that you can upload to the RiffTrax Store and sell to our thousands of daily visitors. You'll make 50% of the net revenue your iRiff generates, paid in quarterly installments on balances over $25.

Q: What do the different formats, NTSC and PAL, mean?

A:

The short answer is that NTSC files are for people in North America, including the United States and Canada. PAL files are for users in regions other than Region 1, such as the United Kingdom and Australia. The long answer has to do with technical specifications of each format. NTSC and PAL have different framerates - meaning a PAL video actually is a bit faster than its NTSC counterpart, making it somewhat shorter. It's difficult to notice unless you have two versions of the same movie (or audio file) playing side-by-side; but eventually you'll notice the PAL version being ahead of the NTSC version. Sometimes the difference is as much as a few minutes! If you find that your mp3 file is constantly out of sync with the DVD you're watching, first make sure that you've downloaded the correct format of mp3 (NTSC for Region 1, PAL for elsewhere) and then check other things, such as the DVD version (Collector's Edition, Director's Cut, etc.) is correct for that mp3 file. These details are usually found on the product page. For more information on NTSC, as well as a list of countries that use it, click here. For PAL information use this link.

Chris Wolvie's sole purpose in the Animation Ripping Theater (or ART for short) is to destroy beloved (and a few loathed) animated movies.  And none is more beloved than the Best Picture Academy Award-nominated Disney classic about a lovely, intelligent girl and a massive walking furball with...
In their first riff ever, Simon Torgo and Chris Rowsdower enter the unbearable world of a barely rebellious teenager forced to change bodies with her mother. What?! Is that even plausible?

Raindrops.  Harmless and docile...but only when they feel like it!  In this feel-good romp for the whole family, lovable Junior Raindrop is forced to the Earth by the abusive Papa Cloud, and engages in juvenile delinquency like any raindrop his (or her, it's hard to tell with that voice)...

The Lost City, Chapter 8 is an epic story of freedom. Freedom from being a different race that is. If you squint and turn your head slightly to the left you can make out some of the finer points of this chapter. A crazy magician witch doctor that has perfected the anti insta-tan. Some kind of...

It's the late 1940s, when America was overrun with argumentative dwarves, except that instead of having names like Oin and Gloin, they instead represented concepts such as Labor, Management, Southern-Fried Politics and Big-Chinned Farmers.  These vermin were easy prey to gangly yellow-suited...

Unable to fit through the wormhole, the crew instead tries to use it to send a...

In 1992, makers of video games started sweating hitpoints when it occured to them that the products they had worked so hard on could be simply copied from disc to disc... who could they call to scare straight the foul young demons who plot and plunder? Who will lead us through the Clone War? How...
Well nothing says 'Season's Greetings' like 16th century commedia dell'arte, bringing forth all the wonders of spousal abuse, animal beatings, racial stereotyping, reptile maulings, and mad rabid monkeys. All this sponsored by the 'MAN' himself, San-ta CLAUS!! (little Adam West beat there) We open...
