Jimmy wants a dog more than anything and likes to visit Mr Black's house to see his pet dog Tippy every day after school. Mr. Black's motives seeme pretty suspect but hey this is the fifties and no reason to think this bachelor means anything but friendship to a lonely dim-witted preteen who comes to his house daily and lets himself into the house with the familiarity of a maid.
As for Tippy, it's a Ferris Bueller style romp around Tarzana or Ojai or whatever miserable suburb this is. Only .75! It may only be about nine minutes long but it will feel oh so much longer.

Desperate for laughs I've tucked the memory of this riff away for later tonight.
Great stuff. Very funny. I still say you're the best iriff writer around and your perfomance is improving. Keep up the good work. I look forward to future riffs.
Tippy rocks! You really have some funny riffs, but IMO many of them get lost because you deliver everything in the same voice. I don't know what software you use to riff, but with the right stuff (and some voice-acting) you can make one riffer sound like four... or more!!!
I can't stress enough how much voice-acting brings out your jokes -- highlights them. Invent two or three characters and record the jokes as those characters and I guarantee you will see a big difference in the final result!
Sorry it took so long to post a comment -- or maybe we did and it got erased; we had some great comments on our stuff that are just gone now.
Woof!
I think you'll be pleased on my latest collaboration with Mr B. On our our joint project, High School Caesar I did some experimenting with recording styles and I think I have greatly improved on the "liveliness" of my delvery. Check it out and see what you think. Oddly enough it was just one little thing I did differently that seems to make a difference. I won't give away my secret but I'll give you a hint: virgin blood.
I remember the last thing I watched from AT being the Lost City chapter, I'm pretty sure, and thinking, 'man, his writing is REALLY SOLID, if only he weren't so hesitant with his delivery.' sadly, i still felt that way with this release, months later. it's a really good, solidly written piece (though I would've done a bit more with creepy Mr. Black who's always home and yet always dressed like a mobster/child molester). My only problems were that I think Mandrake (?) needs to relax into it a bit more (maybe more run-throughs before recording?) and the skips in the short got somewhat annoying. As fun as this riff was overall, that might be something to consider when weeding out shorts to use.

Yeah I admit that is annoying, but I weighed it against the gold material in this short and decided it MUST be riffed. It's just too perfect not too. Besides, I don't think anyone is watching it then saying, "What?! I must know what Tippy the dog said to the rabbit!?"
Ain't that the way it always goes? Damn!
Very funny stuff indeed! Stupid Monkey! One thing I noticed is that your riff is entirely in the left channel. It took a little getting used to, but no biggie. Keep 'em coming!
