Odd little mid-war film warning about waning concern for our boys overseas. Inexplicably follows three stories, a cherubic New Englander more concerned about his morning coffee than the hard-fighting boys overeas, Quince an incompetent bomber crew member and an Army Chaplain who mysteriously appears to chastise us all. Oh and buy war bonds. That's where this was going all along after all.

This short may be bad but at least it's better than Pearl Harbor. Seems like it took a while to get going but once you hit your stride it was great. It was clever and funny and I don't believe anyone could do better. Not even Mike, Kevin, and Bill! Keep up the good work.
Finally a film for blowhards by blowhards. Imagine falling asleep on the bus and ending up there. It would be like Deliverance in the suburbs.
As with your riff of Tippy the Town Drunk, you had some really funny riffs that would be better served by a group of voice-actors (which is something you can accomplish yourself). Delivering all the gags in the same voice just buries most of them. Think of it this way: This f*cking film is UNWATCHABLE without you and your job is to make this turd a Superstar Turd. Simply reading a series of jokes, however funny they might be, in the same voice is not going to accomplish that.
You've got a good sense of timing and you're funny but to be honest I'm not gonna sit through 20 minutes of this unless something interesting happens in the presentation of your material as well.
Damn near peed myself on that one. Good stuff. Good oddball references. Your audio was better than it was on Tippy, which was also very funny but sounded like a middle-period Beatles album gone wrong. Looking forward to more. Thanks for making funny an otherwise totally depressing film.
Atomic Treatment is easily the best iRiff writer around and his performance is getting better all the time. This is a great short that really helps demonstrate what iRiffers can do. Atomic Treatment's work just keeps getting better and this earlier short can stand on it's own while also providing a glimpse into the evolution of his style. At the end of the day what matters most is what is funny and Atomic Treatment is very funny.
Don't get me wrong here. I was laughing out loud at some points here. I'm trying to say that as riffers, our collective output pretty much reaches a niche group of people who "get it". When I watch these things, I try to watch as if I don't know a damn thing about MST3K; looking at it through those eyes, I am unlikely to watch longer than a few minutes.
I met some guys who are totally into riffing, but are too young to know about MST3K or anything spawned by that show. I sat with them as we watched a really bad martial-arts film (The Snake-Crane Secret). These guys were riffing the film like pros, doing all these voices... I was pretty blown away. I got some good gags in. When the film was over I asked them if they knew about MST3K and they were like "What? There was a show where they did this?" I showed them some stuff from RT people and the were looking at a lot of it with a blank expression on their faces.
All I'm saying is that, yes, the jokes are funny. The format, however, is a little, um, tired I guess. I would totally recommend this within the riffing community, but I probably wouldn't try to "initiate" someone into the world of riffing with this or our own Trollenberg Terror for that matter (at least not the beginning).
