What is iRiffs?

Think you have the chops to make a RiffTrax?

Just create and upload your humorous commentaries on anything, set your price, and we'll do the rest by hosting and distributing your content. You'll even get your very own product page to promote your iRiff. Best of all, you share in the sales of your iRiff! We will feature the best tracks on the RiffTrax home page and the funniest stuff will rise to the top based on our user comments and star rating system.

We'll be having contests with cash prizes, and the best iRiffs' artists will get invited to work with Mike Nelson and the RiffTrax guys, and get paid to make a RiffTrax Presents!

Q: What is an iRiff?

A: An iRiff is a home-made audio commentary that you can upload to the RiffTrax Store and sell to our thousands of daily visitors. You'll make 50% of the net revenue your iRiff generates, paid in quarterly installments on balances over $25.

Q: What do the different formats, NTSC and PAL, mean?

A:

The short answer is that NTSC files are for people in North America, including the United States and Canada. PAL files are for users in regions other than Region 1, such as the United Kingdom and Australia. The long answer has to do with technical specifications of each format. NTSC and PAL have different framerates - meaning a PAL video actually is a bit faster than its NTSC counterpart, making it somewhat shorter. It's difficult to notice unless you have two versions of the same movie (or audio file) playing side-by-side; but eventually you'll notice the PAL version being ahead of the NTSC version. Sometimes the difference is as much as a few minutes! If you find that your mp3 file is constantly out of sync with the DVD you're watching, first make sure that you've downloaded the correct format of mp3 (NTSC for Region 1, PAL for elsewhere) and then check other things, such as the DVD version (Collector's Edition, Director's Cut, etc.) is correct for that mp3 file. These details are usually found on the product page. For more information on NTSC, as well as a list of countries that use it, click here. For PAL information use this link.

She's pretty.  She's somewhat smart.  She sounds vaguely British.  She's Lara Croft!  Join me, Arin Kambitsis, and my pal Dwight E. Mitting-Diode on a joyous romp through the direly directed, awfully acted, reprehensibly written Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life....

Another in the long line of Coronet films teaching young baby boomers about how to be responsible.  No, you won't see the adventure of "What to do on a Date" or the dramatic performances of "Shy Guy" but what you will get sir is a decent helping of dry as sawdust talk talk...

Like so much Trek, Voyager's high concept is brilliant, but its execution is, shall we say, somewhat flawed. Ostensibly about a solitary Federation ship in uncharted territory having to mix with a renegade Maquis crew, searching for a way home and having to adapt and take drastic measures along...

Finally, the Truth can be told.... When the Spring Break DVD was released for the first time in August of 2009, Anchor Bay spared every expense in bringing this classic 1980s college comedy to the fans. In other words, there are no bonus features on the DVD at all (if you don't count the trailers...

Special Edition released October 28, 2009 Welcome to The Movie Asylum: You Don't Have to be Crazy to Riff Here but it Helps! In their very first riff, riffers James Rosenthal and Ben Rosenthal enlist the help of guest riffer Steve Lutz to tear into Halloween 2.  For those who just couldn't...

The 1970's have a lot to answer for: disco, terrifying facial hair, bell-bottoms. "Planet of Dinosaurs" is basically a primer for all of them- a glimpse at life in a simpler, hairier time when scenes were ruined by bad claymation instead of bad CGI.  When the crew of the...
What happens if instead of dinosaurs in "Jurassic Park", it's killer apes?  You get "CONGO"!  A fun movie with no chance of being good.  "CONGO" has a cavalcade of B-movie actors including Bruce Campbell, Tim Curry, Joey Pants, Joe Don Baker and Ernie...

mister X does his part to stimulate the economy with the VOD 4-Pack. Contains all THE BACK ROW vod shorts: Gumby's Gold Rush, The Relaxed Wife and VidRiffz Remix Show plus an all-new short with mister X and special guest Rob B. as they riff on the "classic" sex education short As Boys...

What would happen if the Gamera franchise ran out of ideas and tried to pad out a new movie with random fight sequences from other Gamera movies? Destroy All Planets. Still, there is something to be said of the gore of giant monsters violently tearing into each other in a movie aimed at children...

The Knights Divide. Inspired by the popular trend of including spoilers in the titles of movies, as seen in such blockbusters as Jonathan Dies in the End, Elizabeth Ends Up Marrying the Fat Guy, and the timeless classic, He Turns Out to be the Main Character's Brother in the End II: Still Brothers...
