RiffTrax wants your jokes! We've provided you with some choice clips from Reefer Madness, along with 10 different spots for you to write jokes to get included in our LIVE broadcast of Reefer Madness! The winners (picked by the guys themselves) will receive a RiffTrax Swag Bag and have their names featured on-screen!Email your jokes (and the # they correspond to) to contest@rifftrax.com. Eligibility
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
To be eligible for the RiffTrax Contest (the "Contest"), you must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Employees of the Sponsor, or any of Sponsor’s subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, or members of any such employee's immediate families or households, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Void where prohibited.
Entry
You can enter by visiting http://www.rifftrax.com/contest, viewing the ten scenes from Reefer Madness contained therein and emailing an original line of humorous dialogue for any or all of the ten scenes to contest@rifftrax.com. You must indicate to which numbered scene any and all proposed lines correspond. Only one line per scene per person (up to ten (10) lines total) will be accepted. A completed entry is referred to herein as an "Entry."
Contest Period
The Contest will begin on July 16, 2010 and end on August 19, 2010.
Disclaimers
Sponsor does not assume responsibility for any late, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, scrambled or otherwise damaged Entries or for any hardware, software, browser, computer, online, network, electronic, human, telephone or technical malfunctions, difficulties or errors that may occur. Furthermore, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entries it deems, in its sole discretion, to be obscene, unlawful, threatening or otherwise inappropriate. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the Contest or any portion thereof should any cause beyond Sponsor’s control disrupt, corrupt and or compromise the administration, security or proper play of the Contest or for any reason Sponsor deems such suspension necessary.
Odds of Winning
The odds of winning the Contest will be determined solely by the number of Entries submitted and deemed eligible for the Contest.
Prize(s)
Up to Ten (10) Prizes may be awarded. The prize(s) that may be awarded to each eligible winner are:
Incorporation of the Entry into the script for RiffTrax Live: Reefer Madness, performance of the Entry during the broadcast of RiffTrax Live: Reefer Madness, credit for writing the Entry in the official credits for RiffTrax Live: Reefer Madness and any additional prize(s) to be determined at the sole discretion of RiffTrax. Prizes are nontransferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. No cash equivalent for the prize will be awarded. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified, the Company reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner's prize, in its sole discretion.
Judging Criteria
Winners will be selected from eligible Entries at the sole discretion of RiffTrax.
Conditions
By submitting an Entry, you agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules, and the decisions of Sponsor and Judge, which shall be final and binding in all respects. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
By submitting your Entry you hereby warrant and represent that all information provided by you as part of the Entry is true, accurate and complete, and that you are the sole creator of the Design, the Design is entirely your original work of authorship and that the Entry was not created at your job, using your employer's equipment or on your employer's time, or in any other manner that would result in your employer claiming intellectual property rights in the Design.
You further agree to indemnify and release Sponsor, and Sponsor’s subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, agencies, agents and representatives and the officers, directors and employees of each from any and all liability for any claims, charges, injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by, resulting from or arising out of your participation in the Contest, or Sponsor’s use of the Entry, or any prize or your acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize.
By submitting your Entry you hereby agree to the following terms: The Design will be deemed a "work made for hire", as that phrase is used in the United States copyright law, and all right, title and interest in and to the Design will vest automatically in Sponsor. To the extent the Design is not deemed to be a "work made for hire," You hereby assign, transfer and convey, and agree to further assign, transfer and convey, to Sponsor any and all your intellectual property rights in the Design. You hereby represent and warrant that you are eighteen (18) years of age or older and that you are free to enter into this agreement; You agree that if you are chosen as a Prize Winner you shall promptly sign any documents reasonably requested by Sponsor to evidence or perfect its rights in the Design, such as a hard copy of these Official Rules, before you are eligible to collect the Prize. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
This Contest shall be governed by California law. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree that California courts shall have jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Contest and that venue shall be only in California.
Publicity
You agree to be bound by these Rules and that should you be deemed a Prize Winner, Sponsor and Sponsor’s designees may use your name, likeness, name of your company or affiliation, and any statements, quotes or testimonials, photographs, software, audio-files or other such materials provided by you or requested of you, for promotional and publicity purposes without further compensation.

To receive additional copies of these Official Rules, or a Prize Winner list, send an email to support@rifftrax.com; Attention RiffTrax Contest. Specify Prize Winner list and/or Official Rules on your request. Replies will be sent after the completion of the Contest. Prize Winner list requests must be received within six (6) months of the end of the Contest Period.
